Senior Copywriter

Overview:

The Senior Copywriter is a highly skilled and creative writer responsible for developing compelling and persuasive marketing copy across various channels. This role requires a deep understanding of brand voice, target audiences, and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Joining our growing team, this person will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand voice of our clients. Future goals for this role include leading the content team as well as establishing additional production process for the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality, engaging, and persuasive marketing copy for various channels including website content, brochures, email campaigns, social media posts, landing pages, advertisements, presentations, and more.
  • Establish brand strategy.
  • Proactive in initiating conversations, providing context, and driving discussions to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand target audiences, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to ensure brand consistency and alignment with business goals.
  • Brainstorm and develop creative concepts for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Write and edit compelling website content that is SEO-friendly and optimized for conversions.
  • Develop and maintain brand style guides and tone of voice guidelines.
  • Proofread and edit all marketing copy for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in marketing and copywriting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a copywriter in a fast-paced environment (agency or in-house).
  • Proven ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive copy across various platforms.
  • Familiarity with the telecommunications or utility industry preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating strong writing and creative skills.
